At Provincial, we value a diverse work force and the different skills and perspectives that brings to our team.
We are committed to providing competitive benefits to support your personal, professional, physical, and financial goals, as well as your overall well-being.
Provincial is one of the very few security companies in Ireland that hold a large number of quality audit certificates and awards. We currently hold ISO 9001/2015, Excellence through People, Qualsec Platinum and Great Places to Work.
At Provincial we invest in the people who work for us. We do this because we know it’s worth it. In our trade, there is nothing more important than consistency and reliability and we have learnt that if you can rely on us to look after you and your career, then we can rely on you to deliver. That’s why we invest in growth and development right from the outset and encourage those who want to make a career out of security to do exactly that.
It would be easy for us to tell you what working with Provincial is like and why you would love being a part of our family, but we thought it would be better to let some our valued staff tell you for themselves.

I read great things about them.
I received an award for Officer of the year just before my probation and I also received teammate of the month award.
I enjoy working with people, we have a great team that is very reliable.
There are many daily challenges, I would say prioritising things, especially when there is an event and things can get extremely busy.
I have done First aid and medical training.

Hell and back was a really challenging event but fulfilling at the same time.
The fact that no matter who you are and what positions you hold, you are being treated with respect all the way.
Cycling to work on a windy day.
Fire response, evac chair, FAR, IPC, all the LinkedIn Provincial patch courses and probably more.
I will be looking to progress and apply for a leadership position.

Learning new roles, progression and being a part of two SOC creations.
The people.
As part of a SOC, we can be thrust into assisting with region-wide failovers and high-end incident response. Challenging but enjoyable.

The best security to work for.
The amount of time Provincial has invested in my training.
The friendliness of all the staff and management made me feel welcome from day one.
For me, it's probably been working with computers and learning something new every day.
Badges, patrols, first aid, evacuations and computer set up.
Not sure at the moment. I know that Provincial are always advertising new positions.
Yes.
- Brendan Shiels"The atmosphere I work in has to be mentioned as one of my highlights, as I truly believe the team I currently work on is one of the best in the world. I've always been taken aback by the fact everyone was so welcoming from day one those few years ago, always being greeted by all colleagues by the traditional handshakes before the shift and a chat over a coffee before the day starts.”

When I finished my Policing and Security studies course in 2019, my college lecturer offered a reference for a contact in Provincial Security to the student of the year. I won the award and applied for the interview and upon looking into the company was very impressed by their culture, emphasis on caring for their employees and the wide range of career progression opportunities available.
Some of my highlights throughout my three and a half years at Provincial have been the multiple opportunities awarded to me to advance my skill set, including FAR, stair chair evacuation, performance management and even an Irish Sign Language course. Of course, the atmosphere I work in has to be mentioned as one of my highlights, as I truly believe the team I currently work on is one of the best in the world. I've always been taken aback by the fact everyone was so welcoming from day one those few years ago, always being greeted by all colleagues by the traditional handshakes before the shift and a chat over a coffee before the day starts. Even after work hours, our team still socialises together, whether it be the Provincial summer and Christmas parties, other funded activities and, of course, charity events like hiking and fun runs.
I enjoy the social aspect and the fact that every day is something different. Every day I arrive at work, I know my team will make it an enjoyable experience and that I will never know what the day will bring, which brings an element of surprise to my shifts!.
Nothing challenging comes to mind at the moment.
FAR training, infection prevention and control course, stair chair evacuation training, performance management and Irish sign language.
As I've recently been promoted to security team lead I look forward to continuing to learn and develop in this role and maybe in a few more years I've no doubt more opportunities will come my way with Provincial.
100% yes, I have done in the past, and I will again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Personally, I've had a few from being Global Officer of the Month to being given a 'Hero' award for going the extra mile but without the support of my colleagues, those awards wouldn't have been possible. Seeing others develop would be another highlight for me.
I enjoy the challenge that any given day can bring, I also enjoy sharing my security experience with others and lending a hand to newer members of staff.
I would definitely recommend Provincial.

Meeting amazing people throughout all the sites I've worked on. But especially when I became full-time. All staff and bosses, both in Provincial and my other sites, have been very supportive and helpful throughout my working career. Love working for Provincial.
Helping people around me and cheering people up, even if its just listening to them. I enjoy working with my team - they're brilliant.
I find when our lenel system is acting up, it does get difficult but me and the team work together to figure things out.
I have completed the Griffith training for Anti terrorism. I've also done a conflict management course.
I wish to complete my PSA licence, but would also like to do a supervisor course. Overall I do see growth in the company and its future and 100% want to be part of it.
I have done and will continue to recommend Provincial to both friends and Family.

I needed a change from my previous site and also, I heard great feedback about the company.
Regarding the site I am currently deployed in I would have to say that the most important thing would have to be seeing this project materialize. Regarding my employment with Provincial, the highlights would be the opportunity I’ve been given, to be part of this great team, and also the opportunities that the company has given me regarding my career.
The everchanging site, and the challenges that arise every day.

Since I started my employment with the company, I have been trained on all posts on site, including the more challenging posts such as Gate 2 and SOC. Apart from the post specific training, Provincial Security have provided me with the Aid Response Training which was delivered in such a professional and also enjoyable manner by the trainer. While on site I have also completed the MACE H&S Supervisory Training
Based on my evolution so far within the company, I can state that Provincial is the type of company that recognises, and rewards had work and commitment. It’s a company that invests in it’s staff. I hope that by performing the tasks given to me the same way I have been doing so far, with improving and constant learning, I see my role growing in the future.
I have already done so, some of my friends already successfully applied and are employed now with Provincial. I will continue to recommend the company 100%.

As the company expands and different protocols happen all the time, I need to make sure I am aware of new procedures and protocols. This can be challenging as you may need to adapt to a new way of doing old jobs.
I have done reception training onsite from NHO to being retrained on all onsite SOP's.
Opportunities arise all the time in this job and the company love to see people move up so I can see myself getting a higher position and working within the Managment team.

I love how no two days are the same, I get to meet so many different people every day and that really keeps things interesting. It feels like there is so much potential for growth and career progression, which is always something that was important to me.
Probably the uncertainty, you can be pulled in any different direction at any time of the day. You never really know what is coming next, so you are kept on your toes all the times! Ironically this is also what I love about it, challenge is what helps us grow and I feel this role is doing that for me.
I completed NHO security training in my first week. I received training in the role from my manager and also cross team training from reception and front of house.
I see many different avenues and opportunities in the future. Many of my colleagues have moved or have been promoted into other roles quite quickly after commencing employment with Provincial.
